From First Call to Move Day — In Their Words
These are clients who started exactly where you are right now — filling out a form or picking up the phone. Here's how their experience unfolded.
My mother passed away and I needed to move the contents of her Fredericton home into storage in Toronto — about 1,400 km. I was grieving and couldn't deal with logistics. Mariana personally walked me through a video survey of the house, helped me decide what to keep, and had a crew in Fredericton within 10 days. Everything arrived in perfect condition. I was quoted $12,000 by another long distance moving Canada company. Canadian Life did it for $7,400.Catherine FongProfessor, University of Toronto — Estate move, April 2023
I arrived from Manila in November 2022 with my wife and mother-in-law. We didn't have winter boots, our container was stuck in Vancouver, and our landlord wouldn't let us move in without proof of tenant insurance — which nobody told us about. Amara from Canadian Life walked us through getting tenant insurance online, delivered a Landing Kit the same day, and called us every week for three months to ask if we needed anything.Jerome AgustinSoftware Developer — Newcomer relocation, November 2022
I run a 28-person fintech company and we needed to move six engineers from Waterloo to Toronto on a compressed timeline. Jordan Flett handled everything. One phone call per week to me, a group chat for the engineers with live scheduling updates, and consolidated invoicing that my accountant actually praised — which has literally never happened before. The cost came in 30% under what the large relocation services quoted.David OseiCOO, Paystack North — Corporate relocation, February 2024
After You Hit Submit — Exactly What Happens
No mystery, no waiting game. Here's the three-step process that has produced 2,800+ binding quotes per year since 2013.
We Call You Back
Within 4 business hours — usually faster. A member of our office team (not a call center, not a bot) confirms your move details and schedules a 15-minute video survey at a time that works for you. Evening and weekend survey slots are available. No in-person visit required unless you prefer one — the video walkthrough captures everything our estimating team needs: room sizes, stairwells, elevator access, parking, and any specialty items like pianos, artwork, or fragile collections.
Video Survey (15 Min)
Walk us through your space on your phone — FaceTime, WhatsApp Video, or Google Meet, whichever you prefer. Our estimator will ask you to show each room, open closets, and point out anything that needs special handling. We note room sizes, stairwell widths (especially critical for pianos and oversized furniture), elevator booking requirements, parking distance from the entrance, and any access restrictions your building may have. The survey footage goes directly to our estimating team, who calculate weight and volume from the visual inventory. For corporate relocations involving multiple employees, Jordan Flett coordinates all surveys within 5 business days.
Binding Quote in 48 Hours
We calculate weight (estimated from the survey, confirmed on a certified scale on moving day), distance (actual driving route kilometers), and accessorials (stairs, long carries over 75 feet, shuttle service if your street can't accommodate a full-size truck). You receive a binding written quote — the number on that document is the number on your invoice. Period. If we underestimated the weight, we absorb the difference. That policy has been in place since Mariana Vasquez-Olsen signed the incorporation papers in 2013, and it has never changed. Read more about how binding quotes differ from non-binding estimates.
Why 1,460+ Clients Gave Us 4.8 Stars
Three commitments that have defined this moving company since day one — and the numbers that back them up.
The Price Doesn't Change
Every quote we issue is binding. The number on your quote is the number on your invoice. If our weight estimate was low, we eat the difference — not you. We've never issued a non-binding estimate. Not once in 12 years. Our Resource Hub includes a free PDF explaining the difference between binding and non-binding estimates, so you can compare what other movers offer.
Your Stuff Arrives Intact
Our 0.4% damage claim rate is 6× better than the industry average (2.5–3.5%). That's not luck — it's Diego Vasquez's loading protocol, Tomás Pereira's crew training program, and a mandatory photo-documentation process at origin and destination. Every item is inventoried. Every truck is loaded using a weight-distribution system that's been refined since Eduardo started the family business in 1979.
We Show Up When We Say We Will
98.3% on-time delivery rate on confirmed 2-day windows — not the 7–14 day "spread" that other long-distance movers offer. Diego checks weather along every route the night before departure and reroutes around storms, closures, and delays before they become problems. You get a confirmed delivery window, a phone number for your driver, and real-time updates during transit.
